Annaka Saari is a writer and artist from Jackson, Michigan. She currently lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she studies English at the University of Michigan (and takes a lot of study breaks in the campus art museum). Her work focuses on music, movies, and other facets of pop culture, as well as Feminism, sexuality, and mental health. She’s also been known to use poems to indirectly hit on men with good hair that look like they don’t sleep. Creations of hers have been published both in print and online. When she’s not writing, Annaka can be found petting cats, catching frogs, drinking Diet Coke, searching the internet for new music, or watching cartoons. Or crying. There’s a lot of that too. Find her here on Twitter and here on Instagram.
